Ikea Easel – Mommy Buy That

After Paint Lab - I decided we needed an easel for our patio.  It would be a fun activity - although I may want to paint more than Ila.  As I searched out easel's I found them to be north of $40.00 Then I went to Ikea and got this one for $14.99 - I also bought a roll of paper for $4.99.  It is awesome and we are going to try it tomorrow.  It also has a chalkboard on one side and a dry erase board on another.  Another find at Ikea -play kitchen accessories.  And they are about 1/3 the Read more [...]

Paint Lab Santa Monica – Mommy Do That

Today we went to Paint Lab on Main Street in Santa Monica.  It was 10:30-12:00 but Ila and her buddy only lasted about 45 min.  I would say she was a little too young.  The kids around the age of 2 were having a blast. Basically they give you aprons, paint and paper for $15 and you can paint as much as you want.  Supposedly the paint washes out of your clothes (we haven't washed ours yet).  We painted outside and they ran around, Ila was more into using her fingers than the brushes,  But Read more [...]

Bright Starts’ New Swing

When we had Ila we were obsessed with our swing.  We bought D batteries in bulk, for fear it might run out of juice in the middle of the night.  I am still not sure why they don't invent a swing that plugs in the wall.  I think they are in cahoots with the battery companies.  We tried to go green and get rechargeable batteries but those couldn't keep the swing going. I am a huge fan of the whole Vital line, their sippy cups are Ila's favorite. Today we got her the cutlery set which is for 12m and above.
