So we bake A LOT except for the fact that I am allergic to gluten, it is really fun. Although I never know how it tastes so I cross my fingers and have to rely on my daughter to tell me if they are good or bad. She loves the teamwork aspect. Our two favorite treats that the girls can really help with are smores in a microwave. They love seeing the marshmallow grow and grow.
And my favorite baking tool is a cookie press. I made them with my grandma when I was little and loved it. You can change the shape of the cookie. I have my grandma’s copper cookie press. But I don’t want to destroy something that is nearly 40 years old. So we got a new one and it works great and is relatively inexpensive for a press. The kids can put sprinkles on them, I prefer powdered sugar, as my grandma did, but my daughter likes to put sprinkles on them.
It is a sure way to kill a couple hours of the day, and some days are really fucking long.
