Ila was highly influenced by the gymnastics, convinced she wanted to be a gymnast, then a fencer, then a high diver, and at some point she saw Tony Hawk and wanted to do to skateboarding ramp tricks. I have no idea where she gets this because I am super wimpy and neurotic. However, we decided to get her a tumbling mat because we have hard wood floors and took up all the rugs for potty training. Even my husband who hates when I buy anything thought it was a great purchase. She tumbles on it. My daughters wrestle with their dad on it and when it’s not in use I fold it up. It’d great for her to practice her tumbling and flips. And one day when she wins the gold medal she can say “I can remember when my mom bought me my first gymnastics mat”. Although I am trying to gear her towards sports that could actually help her get into college.
