I have decided I know why babies and toddlers are so damn cute. Because you would be more likely to kill them if they were not. Even in the midst of a tantrum or crying storm when you see their little faces and little hands you can’t help but smile. I mean how cute are little kids.
It truly is evolution’s greatest gift. Think about it. If your husband was crying every two hours in the middle of the night it might be very weird but unlikely to illicit the response a newborn would get.
Even my husband has to leave the room half the time when disciplining our daughter because if he looks her in the face he cracks up and starts laughing. I mean how can you not?
So in order for the human race to survive we are enchanted by the spell of a baby/toddler. In any other case their behavior might be called terrorism but when a little tiny baby screams and shouts at you all day long it is just motherhood.
